Focus on Research 2009: October 26-30

Workshop on CCI graduate programs to be held Oct. 16

The College of Communication & Information will hold an informational workshop for students considering applying to its graduate programs at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, in Room 006 of the Louis Shores Building. Learn about the exciting graduate programs in Communication, Communication Science & Disorders and Library and Information Studies.

Hamburgers for Hearing to benefit clinic

Delta Zeta sorority is hosting Hamburgers for Hearing, a fund-raiser to benefit the School of Communication Science & Disorders’ L.L. Schendel Speech and Hearing Clinic.

The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at the Delta Zeta house, 749 W. Jefferson St . Each $5 ticket is good for one hamburger or hot dog with chips, dessert and drink.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. E-mail Selena Snowden at ssnowden@fsu.edu or stop by the Schendel Speech and Hearing Clinic in the Regional Rehabilitation Center.

Fish-fry to benefit Comm Disorders clinic

Scottish Rite is sponsoring a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, to benefit the L.L. Schendel Speech and Hearing Clinic operated by FSU’s School of Communication Science & Disorders.

Proceeds will be used for clinic scholarships, which cover fees for children’s therapy as well as tuition at Communication Camp in the summer.

The fish fry will be held at the Odd Fellows Lodge, 5500 N. Monroe St., across from Lake Jackson. The lodge is just south of Capital Circle Northwest.
