Proposal Submission Policy & 3-Day Rule

Proposal Submission Policy

All proposal documents are due to be emailed, in final form, to the CCI Grants Analyst five working days prior to the sponsor's due date (with the exception of the research plan, which can be in draft form). If any documents are submitted after that day, the CCI Research Office will continue to work on them in the order they are received but can't guarantee that they will be ready in time to meet the FSU Proposal Submission Policy and the Three Working Day Rule.

The Three Working Day Rule

The Three Working Day Rule, otherwise known as the 3-Day Rule, is a policy instituted by the Sponsored Research Services (SRS) that requires proposal submissions to be submitted three working days before the sponsor deadline.

If proposals are submitted to the CCI Research Office two days before the SRS 3-Day deadline, CCI Research will support the efforts of applying researchers by conducting internal reviews that will enhance the likelihood your proposal will be ready and submitted on time.
